Christmas Eve Carols at Huge Farm Bellingdon – Alfresco

Just a quick note to remind people that we are reverting to traditional practice and having the carols outside this year on Christmas Eve at 4pm.

We can promise the odd heater and a fire pit and there are some gazebos around if it threatens to rain.

As ever all welcome and we can consider starting with the mulled wine to keep us going and warm!

As ever all offers of children to read and mince pies are very welcome

Let us know on contact@bellingdon.com if you’re planning to come, can bring mince pies and/or children to read!

This FRIDAY: Pub night

We are looking forward to seeing you this Friday, for Pub night at Bellingdon village hall.

There will be a lovely hot stew and veggies available to purchase together with pizzas, ice cream and the normal array of drinks.

Cash is preferred but we will be trialling card payments.

Outside games

We are happy for children (and adults!) to play games outside. However responsibility for children lies with the parents/guardians.

Please note only clean shoes will be allowed in the hall – any muddy shoes please leave in the hallway.

Help on the night

We look forward to seeing you at the pub nights which are run on a volunteer basis.  If you are willing to assist in the setup, running of or clear up after the pub night please do let me know.

Road closure – change of date

road closed sign

The road closure that was scheduled for this coming Monday, 1 November has been pushed back to the weekend of 13/14 November.

The main road through Bellingdon will be closed between Old Timbers and Sun Cottage on the Chesham side of the Village Hall. For those of a what3words persuasion, we’re told the exact location is /// client.headset.rush

In any case, those on the village hall side of the closure will need to take an alternative route – the signposted diversion we understand will be via Asheridge. https://one.network/ is a useful resource where you can see any additional changes to the plan.

For anyone who might need it, there is a house by house map here on the website. It could probably do with some updating – any volunteers please get in touch!
