Fête 2018: please support our supporters

Each year many local businesses support our village fête either through advertising in our programme, sponsoring classes in the dog show or running stalls during the fête itself.

This year our advertisers are: Asprey Harris; Priests Ford; Citytalk Communications; Tring Brewery; Yerrell Flooring; Sainsbury’s Chesham; Caan Thomas Jewellery; S M Motors; Wheelhouse Vets; Old Amersham Cycle Workshop; Hollies Services; HG Matthews Brickworks; DL Hawkes; County Interior Design; The Village Nursery, Bellingdon; Little Bears Preschool; Magnet Kitchens; Wendover Heights Vets; Snobs of Amersham; Docwra Property Management and Clarks of Amersham.

Please do consider using these local businesses that provide services and employment for our communities.

Fete 2018: It’s Doorknock Week!

Our dedicated band of fete volunteers will be going door to door between now and Sunday ready to collect your lovely donations: bottles, raffle and tombola prizes, good condition books, toys and board games, bric-a-brac and old crockery for the china smash. Also plants for the Hort Soc stall.

We’ll also give deliver a free event programme to each house as well as giving you the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets. Prizes this year include Rugby tickets, a case of wine, vouchers and many others.

If you’re out we can collect black bags marked “Fête” from your doorstep. Alternatively our friendly door knockers will leave a card so you can call them to come at a more convenient time. We’ll also be at the hall on Sunday afternoon if you prefer to drop off.

To donate, help out or find out more about the fête, please contact fete@bellingdon.com. To join the doorknock as a volunteer or to arrange a specific collection time, please phone Emma on 07971 218970.

Fete 2018 – 30th June

Preparations for this year’s fete are speeding ahead and hopefully you are as excited about it as we are.  Don’t forget to put the date in your diary – Saturday 30th June!

We always need helpers on the day so please do let us know if you can help – on a stall, with car parking, the kiddies’ corner, baking cakes, pulling pints or flipping burgers.  There are many roles available and most of them are good fun, so don’t be shy.

If you would like to run your own stall, there is a small set fee for this and the contact for these stalls is Jules Eyles.  We welcome stalls selling things like homemade jams, cards, art… anything you feel you may be able to sell.

This event relies exclusively on volunteers and is a lovely community day out. Funds raised by the fete go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the hall and grounds – such as the recent kitchen and bar upgrade which hopefully you will get a chance to see.

Our partner charity is the wonderful Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.  There are a number of fun categories such as waggiest tail, Handsomest Dog… so start getting your pooch ready now. We are also looking for someone who may want to run the dog show next year and would be up for being trained up this year in advance…

Email us at fete@bellingdon.com if you’re able to help man a stall, help with set up or with pre-arrangements; or want to get involved in any way.  You are more than welcome!
