Hort Soc AGM and Spring Flower Show

All you keen gardeners out there, don’t miss the B&A Horticultural Society AGM and Spring Flower Show at the Village Hall on Thursday 5th April at 7:30pm. And (if you need another reason to go) they’re putting on cheese and wine as well!

The spring show schedule has all the information you need about the evening itself.

All are welcome, you don’t need too be Alan Titchmarsh (or even know who Alan Titchmarsh is). Membership is just £2 for the year (£1 for over 70s). You can find out more about the Hort Soc on their web page.

Our village “Litter Pick” 18th March 2018

We meet at the Village Hall at 10am to pick up litter sacks and grabbers, then small groups go off around our villages to pick up as much litter as we can. In association with the Great British Spring Clean – although a couple of weeks after the main event.

Please do join us – wear sensible clothing and footwear and high visibility outerwear if you have it. All welcome!

Bacon sandwiches and tea/coffee available back in the hall.

Community Pub Night – Friday 16th March

After a month’s break to allow some much-needed refurbishment and redecoration of the hall, March’s community pub night will have a distinctly green theme, being the day before St Patrick’s Day.

As last year, there will be suitable decorations to enliven the atmosphere, as well as home-cooked food with a nod to the Emerald Isle. There’ll be all the usuals too – traditional pub games, the chance to chat with neighbours and catch up with friends old and new. Children are very welcome.

We do hope you’ll join us to see what the revamped village hall has to offer (it looks a bit different from the picture)! We’re open from6:30-10:30pm.
